Did you know you can actually get hired through a hackathon? 👀

I found out about this at Devfolio Tryouts, a fun one-day hackathon where 20 engineers, designers, and marketers come together to tackle real-world challenges in just 10 hours.

Each vertical had 3 problem statements, and while the tech and design teams were creating subscription-cancel apps and GitHub trackers, our marketing/content vertical faced a fun creative challenge:

→ Create a fun video (reel/vlog) showcasing the hackathon

→ Write engaging copy and a blog post about it

It was lively, collaborative, and a delightful reminder that hackathons aren’t just about code, they’re about storytelling, creativity, and teamwork.

What's the most exciting part? When you finish a project, you walk away with not just experience, but also great visibility and genuine hiring opportunities!
